Lively Bottle is pleased to have designed customized and reusable water bottles as part of our sponsorship of the Baker National High School Championship, which was certified as a Clean Regatta as noted in the press release that follows.
Thank you so much for your support of the Baker National Championship. The event went very smoothly and your sponsorship to make it happen is so appreciated. Chicago Yacht Club’s Belmont Station hosted this highly prominent Regatta sailing on the waters of Lake Michigan. The Baker Championship pitted the top 12 high school teams against each other in a team race format. In order to reach the Championship, each of the teams qualified in their respective districts, and schools from as far away as Washington State, California, Florida and Rhode Island were represented at this Illinois Regatta. In an exciting finish National Champions Shorecrest Prep (St. Peterburg, Florida), edged out St. Thomas Aquinas (Ft. Lauderdale, Florida), with Newport Harbor (Newport, California) taking third.
On another important note, the Baker Championship Regatta qualified as a Clean Regatta, in partnership with Sailors for the Sea, Chicago Yacht Club’s first and highly successful green initiative. Through the use of reusable water bottles presented to each sailor with water stations available on the rotation and umpire boats, zero trash on water lunch containers, and an electric powered spectator boat, the Baker Championship Regatta earned Gold level certification. Chicago Yacht Club proudly embraces keeping our waters clean for future generations of sailors. Our sponsors directly contributed to our ability to achieve this certification.
I attach some photos of the event and the sponsor banners, and again thank you for your support.
On behalf of the Baker Race Committee, thanks for your support!
